After riding in the rodeo grand entry, Newton joined USO members in the Jordan’s’ Reliant Stadium suite where special guest was the venerable Louis Pearce Jr., aka "Mr. Rodeo."

HOUSTON (October _, 2007) – The Houston West Chamber of Commerce has announced the addition of Barbara Hayley as a new board member. Hayley brings a wealth of business experience and acumen to the Chamber from her years in the corporate world and now as chief executive officer of her own firm, Hayley Ranch Consulting, Inc.

            Hayley graduated from Wade College with a degree in fashion merchandising and later attended Southern Methodist University where she studied business and theology. Her community involvement is extensive, as she sits on the board of the Houston Galveston Area Council, is on the National Advisory Council of the National Workforce Institute and is a member of the steering committee for Gulf Coast Health Services. Additionally, she has been a presenter to the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants State Conference for seven years and is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

            “Barbara brings a wonderful dimension of human resources, training and technology expertise to our board,” says Jeannie Bollinger, president of the Houston West Chamber of Commerce. “Her success in the business world, as well as her strong commitment to volunteerism, will complement our efforts at the Chamber to provide West Houston businesses with outstanding resources.”

            Hayley’s firm was begun in 2006 as a result of her strong commitment to “Greatness in the Workplace.” The company provides services to businesses that include human resources, training and development, marketing, technology solutions and company practice and process evaluations. Prior to that, she was the senior performance officer for a $3.5 billion financial services institution, where she successfully spearheaded a campaign for her company to be listed in Fortune Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For.”
