Hayley Ranch Consulting, Inc. can offer you the benefits of an in-house staff at a fraction of the cost of adding to your current labor force. By tailoring our services to your operation, our human resources solutions allow you to supplement your current system, or we can develop and manage your entire human resources operation.
The following is a sample of the services we can provide:
1) Employee Handbook – We will review an existing handbook or develop a new one that provides your company with a concise communication tool that summarizes the following that are applicable to your company or organization: *State and Federal employment related policies *General guidance concerning work related behavior *Rules and regulations *Salary and benefit information
2) Supervisor Guide – To assist supervisors in the consistent application of employment policies and procedures, some companies choose to provide a procedure manual to its supervisors. We will draft supervisory procedures, in an easy to read format, to provide guidance on practical administration of the policies contained in the employee handbook.
3) Employee Opinion Surveys – With the success of any organization dependent upon its employees, Hayley Ranch Consulting, Inc. believes it is important to regularly survey employees to identify the organizational climate. An Employee Opinion Survey can provide you with valuable insights to strengthen your organization in the areas where employees feel there are opportunities to improve. Benefits include increased employee retention, employee satisfaction and a reduction in turnover. Once you and your managers help us target the most important issues in your organization, you can sit back while we do all the work. We will administer the survey to your employees, tabulate all the results and present the data in a simple, easy to read format. After we have carefully analyzed the data, we will provide specific recommendations on how to improve your lowest rated areas and how to maintain the highest rated areas. We will then work closely with you to develop an action plan to maximize the information you receive from the survey.
4) Exit Interviews - An exit interview is a powerful tool that allows your company to gain an understanding of why people are leaving – what they liked and did not like. With an effective exit interview program, companies are able to learn from the past experiences of departing employees and gain an opportunity to improve management practices accordingly. We can develop a customized exit interview questionnaire and provide detailed reports that pinpoint problem areas. We will provide recommendations on actions your company can take to reduce turnover rates and improve employee morale.
5) Position Descriptions - Clear job descriptions establish consistent performance competencies which help employees work smarter and become more effective in their jobs. As an employer, well-written job descriptions help you hire the right people and make fair employment decisions you can defend in court. We can develop written position descriptions for exempt and non-exempt personnel in a format that is ADA compliant.
6) New Employee Orientation -We will work with you on developing or enhancing your New Employee Orientation beyond benefits and rules. Having an orientation that is clear about the vision and values of the company while giving the new employees an opportunity to get to know the leadership of the company is so valuable. We will work with you on having a New Employee Orientation that your employees rave about.
7) HR Practices Audit – Our HR Practices Audit is a review and analysis of your company’s people management policies, pay practices and payroll procedures. The purpose is threefold: To determine if existing policies conform with various state and federal labor laws, To determine if your company’s human resources function is current with respect to today's employee relations environment and, To provide management with recommendations that address problem areas indentified during the audit.
The information necessary to conduct the audit is obtained through an on-site review. Areas subject to review and evaluation during the audit include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following:
